For us at Innovative Integration, it’s always exciting to welcome a new team member on board! At the end of June, the newest member of our team, Jacob Moore, became the latest addition to the team as a new Senior Engineer. We are very excited to welcome Jacob, which is why we sat down with him to talk about his background, what led him to I3, and how he’ll work with our customers:

Could you tell us a little about yourself and your background in IT?
I’ve been in IT for nearly 10 years. I started on the help desk and moved into systems administration/engineering roles over the years. I started working with Azure about 5 years ago and I currently hold 3 Azure certifications: and I’m working on a fourth.
What has the average day looked like so far?
My first week involved a lot of training videos. Since then, I’ve spent a lot of time with Lead Architect Thomas Denton getting to know I3’s systems processes. I’m actively working about 5 projects currently.
What is the most rewarding aspect of working in IT?
The most rewarding thing for me is when I can help solve a problem for someone using technology. I’ve always enjoyed technology, and I feel I have a knack for it. It feels good to be able to use that knowledge and expertise to help someone out.
Why did you decide Innovative was the right place for you to work?
Nick and April really sold me on the company. They really sold me on the family environment. You can tell that for them, their employees are people and not simply assets to manage.
With nearly a decade of IT experience, Jacob is an excellent addition to our team!
How will your role and your work benefit I3’s customers?
“The Cloud” can be an exciting topic. It can also be scary and confusing. I’ve spent the last several years learning Azure, Microsoft’s cloud platform. My experience, combined with the expertise already in place with the other engineers, will help propel our customers forward on their cloud journeys.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I’ve been married for 9 years to my wife Melissa. We have 2 boys, Sawyer who is 6 and Lincoln who is 4. I enjoy spending time with my family. Whether it’s playing with my boys, going on hikes, going to Conner Prairie, or simply watching a funny show with my wife (we’re currently on Brooklyn Nine-Nine!), family time is most important to me.
