everRun software manages synchronization of the redundant servers over dual synchronization links that are standard gigabit Ethernet connections. With SplitSite, these synchronization links can be routed over a switched WAN. Even with a site-wide outage, your essential applications are still available — and your data protected — at a separate location.
Protect Applications and Data from a Range of Disasters
Because SplitSite uses completely independent physical servers, geographic fault tolerance is achievable simply by placing these servers at different locations. Depending on how and where you configure the servers, SplitSite can give you protection against a range of disruptions.
Prevent outages from localized power failures. Put the everRun SplitSite servers in separate rooms on separate power feeds. If one server looses power, the other(s) can continue uninterrupted.
Prevent outages from building-wide disasters. Locate everRun SplitSite servers in separate buildings using dedicated fiber or copper links for synchronization. If a disaster such as a fire impacts the whole building, the server(s) in the other building can ensure you can continue without interruptions.
Prevent outages from site-wide disasters. Locate everRun SplitSite servers in separate regions using WAN connections for synchronization. If a disaster such as a flooding or a regional power outage hit the whole site, the server(s) in an adjacent region can ensure you can continue uninterrupted.
SplitSite uses synchronous data mirroring across the dedicated links or WAN to ensure 100% data acquisition and retention both locally and remotely.
